The Warren County Juvenile Court employs two full-time Youth Services Officers who work with children brought before the court under the age of eighteen years. The Youth Services Officers offer intervention to stabilize families experiencing crisis. Youth Services Officers work to divert unruly children from the courts through intervention and referral services that emphasize family responsibility and community involvement as a means toward successful resolution.

The Director of Youth Services is a founding member of this community action group. This program targets children that have been sentenced in by the Juvenile Court, children that are in Foster Care, and children that are "at-risk" of becoming involved with the court system.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and conducting activities that serve 75 - 100 children twice per month
  • Conducting monthly planning meetings twice per month
  • Recruiting, training and supervising approximately 75 program volunteers
  • Public speaking to increase awareness
  • Fundraising
